Project 52 - Week 2

Prayer Request

This post is two weeks late. We've had some health issues with Kate we have been dealing with and everything else has really taken a back seat. I've already posted this on facebook but in case you are not on facebook here's the lowdown:
We would ask for your prayers for our family and specifically for Kate. She will be having surgery on Monday @ 9 am to correct two GI birth defects at Greenville Memorial Hospital. We will be in the hospital 4 to 5 days. Kate will have a follow-up surgery in 4-6 weeks. I have some specific prayer requests:
1 - That Kate would handle the surgery well and that she would have a speedy recovery with minimal post operative pain.
2 - For the Dr. performing the surgery.
3 - For Graham and I as we care for her post operatively.
4 - For Greta as we try to explain to her what is happening to Kate that she would not be fearful and that she would handle the separation well. I'm hopeful that she should be able to come visit us after a few days.
5 - For Graham and I not to be anxious as we anticipate this surgery and recovery but to put our trust completely in God.
6 - The nurses caring for Kate.

Almost everytime I tell someone about this I think of another request so #6 is new.

I will be praying for your family, Kel. Jeffrey had surgery when he was fifteen months old to open his tear duct on his left eye. It had wept since birth due to it not being fully opened. I was terrified of him being put under. I don't mean for this to upset you or cause you more nervousness, I only tell you to have you know that I can relate a bit. His surgery went smoothly and quickly. I cried all the tears! He was a total trouper. I'll pray right down your list. And especially for your heart to know peace and comfort. Love you all.
