Greta's Baptism

Greta's baptism was this morning. My parents, J &J, Graham's parents, and his sisters and their husbands joined us at Mitchell Road to celebrate this event. I must say that I have dreading this for some time - basically since Greta has become verbal and mobile. I figured she'd either talk/cry through the whole thing or cry/kick through it. She's definitely one to assert her will and does not generally look kindly on being passed off to strangers. Now, as nice as our pastor is, she doesn't really "know" him so I thought she'd be upset to be passed to him. Boy, was I wrong. Other than her not wanting to be held through the first part of the service, it went so well. Once we were on stage she just looked around and then after being handed to the pastor she just sat there. I didn't see this but evidentally she played with his hand while he held her and baptized her. After it was all said and done he went to hand her back to Graham and not once but twice she clung to him and did not want to go back to her Daddy. Needless to say, the crowd thought this was quite amusing! On to the pictures, courtesy of Uncle Jack.

That he did. The Sunday after Christmas. He has always said that if he starts to go bald he was going to shave his head. The past year or so he has started getting a bit thin on top so....off it came. It took a little getting used to, but we like it. It also cuts down on the hair cut costs - they are now nonexistent for him!
