I drank coffee before I met Graham but he has introduced me to good coffee. Contrary to many people out there we really don't like Starbucks. We both find it to be over roasted and have a burnt flavor. A while back a coffee shop/roaster opened up near Graham's parents. He received a gift certificate last Christmas for the place so we tried it out over the summer. We have since become addicted to their coffee. To me, there is nothing better. They roast the coffee perfectly and their flavored coffees really taste like the flavor they are supposed to be. Sometimes flavored ones taste fakey - at least to me. If you happen to be in the Greenville area it's worth the short drive up to Travelers Rest (TR) to try it out. We make the 45 minute trek every 3 or so months to replenish our bags. They even give you a discount if you bring back the bag to refill.

Oh, I LOVE coffee. Most mornings when Patrick makes it, I can't resist and just have a VERY small amount - a few sips. Let me tell you, those couple of swallows are awesome. I would love to try the coffee you are refering to sometime. I do like Starbucks, but only certain ones, not all of them.
Do you only get a few sips because of the caffeine? I'm staying away from caffeine as well and Leopard Forest is wonderful because they have so much choice in decaffeinated. I was excited yesterday to get Snickerdoodle and Snow Leopard (coconut, chocolate, and macadamia nut) in decaf. It's a nice change from just plain old coffee.
lol You coffeeholics amaze me. :) I'm thankful I never got addicted to it. I'm glad you found one you like though Kelley, the only kind I like is from Andy's cousin. He started his own coffee company and they are doing really well. We go over to their shop whenever we are in Birmingham and they make us a drink.
Yummm...Leopard Forest has the best coffee...too bad its on the other side of town. :)
We drive through TR (and usually stop for gas there) whenever we visit Lee's family. We'll have to try it out!
Hmmm... can you order this coffee? Maybe I will have to get Sean some for a special occassion. I have yet to get back to my complete pre-pregnancy appreciation of a nice, black coffee! So, right now, I occassionly get a latte, decaf.
Hey Katie,
They do have an online store. Here's the link! (http://www.leopardforestcoffee.com/Store/)
I can't drink coffee in the morning, so we don't stock it at the house. It just makes my stomach sick -- I think it's too acidic (is it?) or something.
Now when I order a drink at Starbucks, I feel like such a deletante -- can I have tall, decaf, soy, no-whip pumpkin spice latte? Of course, I usually try to split it up, which of course takes the barista by surprise. It usually goes like this: Can I have a pumpkin spice latte. (what size?) Make that a tall. Oh, and I want it with soy milk. Oh, and I forgot, can I have decaf? (Elizabeth, I have a pumpkin spice latte, soy, decaf -- do you want any whip?) OH, no. Non-dairy, please. :-) You'd think I'd make their lives easier by memorizing my little speech, but NO, I like to drag it out.
I think you spell dilettante like I just spelled it there. I pressed enter before I could spell check.
