I, like every other woman who has had a baby, am eager to get back into my pre-pregnancy clothes. I bravely tried on some of my pre-pregnancy pants and shockingly they weren't that much too small. I expected much worse and it was so nice to be pleasantly surprised. I don't know how long it'll take me to get back into them but I'm hoping that with regular walks in the neighborhood (which Greta & I started last week), sensible eating, and nursing it won't take too horribly long. For jeans I am currently wearing some of the maternity jeans I bought at the very beginning of my pregnancy which I couldn't wear in the last few months. Even though they are maternity jeans it still makes me feel good that I can get back into them. Oh yes, I've also been doing a set of exercises the midwife gave me. Most of them are abdominal but there are a few chest exercises to keep those muscles toned. I'm supposed to do these for a few months and then I plan on transitioning back to pilates. I really missed those core workouts during pregnancy.
On the subject of maternity clothes I have decided that any future pregnancies will not involve pants bought at Motherhood. When I initially bought clothes there I was pleased with the prices and quality but over the course of my pregnancy I had two pairs of khaki capris rip from the fabric being weak - not because they caught on something. My shirts and dresses from there weathered much better - even with frequent washing so I'm still ok buying those items there. I did buy one pair of pants from Ann Taylor Loft and LOVED them. Even though they are a bit pricier I think it's worth it as they fit wonderfully and are really good quality.

I doubt it will take you very long with everything you are doing!!! This is my 4th baby and it only took about a mth. However, each pregnancy has been different - some were faster and others a bit slower. The good thing is, that it will eventually happen!!!!
It happens quickly when you do things right instead of vegging. I think I weigh less now than I did before getting pregnant with Stephen. Not sure that's a good thing... :P I'm just now comfortable working out again though so tummy muscles here I come. lol
I could write my own post about getting back into pre-preg clothes =)I totally agree about Motherhood clothes. I didn't buy anything there this time around and I probably won't in the future. The same thing you described happened to a pair of khaki pants I bought there. How frustrating! I frequented the sale rack at a newly opened GapMaternity for my additional purchases this past time. Both of the ATLs near me do not carry maternity wear in the store...maybe that is a good thing =)
I'm glad for your pleasant moment when trying on old pants. :-) Yeah for Kelley! Of course, if you get there before I do, I will kill you, but still, YEAH FOR YOU!
j/k :-)
