I never thought I would laugh so much while reading a book about breastfeeding. Yes, you read that right. I told Graham I felt like I was watching a comedy routine but learning at the same time.
So That's What They're There For was very informative and it kept me interested the whole way through. Not having breastfed I can't say how accurate the information is but what she did say made perfect sense to me so I'm guessing it's pretty close. If you're looking for an informative and entertaining read, I would definitely recommend it. Just be prepared to have those around you asking why you are laughing so hard.

I had never even heard of that..I will look into it. A great book to have on hand when your little one is born is The Nursing Mother's Companion. Once you are at home and sadly away from the lactation consultants, that book can be a LIFE saver! At least it was for us...hormones are so much fun!
Amy - Thanks for your book recommendation. I've started on "The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding" but I figure the more I read the more prepared I am. I will definitely request that one from the Library.
I've heard that book is really good! I'm so excited that you are preparing yourself ahead of time like this, Kelley! Your chances of success will be so much better this way. I always am so glad to hear that expectant moms are educating themselves! The one you mentioned that "The Womanly Art" are the books that have received top recommendations when it comes to breastfeeding books so I think you are on the right track.
I was a dummy and didn't read much about breastfeeding before having Emily and guess what- I had SO MUCH TROUBLE, and felt so completely clueless and helpless! It was horrible. Needless to say I learned my lesson and got to work learning more when Claire came along. :) My experience with her has been almost complete opposite from Emily- very refreshing!
