Lemon Toothpaste

I've recently discovered lemon toothpaste. Now I'm sure you're thinking, gross Lemon, but it's actually quite nice. I switched because my regular mint toothpaste was making me feel icky when I brushed my teeth in the morning and isn't the whole point of brushing your teeth to make you un icky? I read on a message board that lemon toothpaste was less likely to cause this reaction so off I went to find lemon toothpaste. I've used it for a few days now and am actually starting to like it. You still get a nice clean feeling and it's even slightly minty but not overly so. Graham has also tried it and pronounced it doable. It does take some getting used to but if you feel so inclined, give it a try.

Hmmmm...I'm just not sure I can do lemon toothpaste but I'm glad you don't mind it.

Sounds interesting. Personally we are hooked on Tom's of Maine. It contains no saccharine or other artificial stuff. When you try it it almost seems bitter compared to regular toothpaste - but after a while the other stuff seems way too sweet.
I wouldn't recommend too much "testing" while you're feeling icky, but sometime you might like to try it. =)
In other random oral hygiene news, I just bought a tongue scraper! and I love it! (but it definitely would have made me puke in the early stages of pregnancy).

Ha Ha! I agree with Julie. I've actually looked at that toothpaste and thought, "Nope, can't do that at 6 AM!"

Both Jen & I had particular trouble fighting icky feelings during teeth brushing. You're right, it was particularly distressing because brushing one's teeth should result in a lovely sensation, not a gag reflex.
